London. For decades, this is a city that has attracted businessmen & women, celebrities and international travellers from around the world.

According to the Knight Frank Wealth Report 2019, London remains the number one city in the world which has the highest concentration of UHNWIs of approximately 4,944 which is up by 582 over the last five years. But why? There is a certain lifestyle that comes when you live or visit London, the buildings, theatres, museums and the large variety of cultures, and may also be worth mentioning that the city also has the highest number of five-star hotels -76- and of course the high quality of universities.

So looking at these figures, it makes sense that the number of luxury properties developers working in the city is growing which is good news, we have a varied choice of properties. As you know I am always being invited to view new developments as well as informing you of a new project somewhere around the world, but today, I have a rather special development in Chelsea London, 100 Sydney Street.

With the number of projects that I get to see, there are times when I view a development I often ask myself, what makes this special or different from the rest? Normally it is the location or the additional services that come with the building, but with 100 Sydney, I felt that real thought had been put into the layout and finishes. The building has seven apartments and one penthouse. I saw apartment number four, featuring three bedrooms, open living space with a kitchen and living room. Each bedroom comes with an ensuite bathroom featuring mirrored cabinets, double sinks and Lefroy Brooks brassware. The living room features a marble fireplace and oak floor, instantly making you feel at home. The kitchen is fitted with Miele appliances which were made bespoke for this development and throughout is underfloor heating and comfort cooling system that keeps the air in the apartment well circulated.

It is also worth mentioning that the penthouse has a stunning ‘wrap around’ balcony, fantastic for the summer months and due to its location it is completely private as there are no large towers in the area. As a bonus less than a mile away you have direct access to The Saatchi Gallery, Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Albert Hall not forgetting a large number of award-winning restaurants, bars and boutiques.

“100 Sydney Street benefits from a location within one of London’s most popular ‘villages’. This part of Chelsea is home to a real community, with the well-known Farmers Market opposite, and St Luke’s Church and Gardens just around the corner. The iconic King’s Road and Fulham Road are at either end of the street. I can see this development proving popular with downsizers moving from a large family home in Chelsea and looking for lateral space within the same neighbourhood or pied-a-terre buyers who like the peace of mind provided by an on-site concierge. Discerning buyers who are looking for a home from which they can discretely make their entrance and exit tend to prefer intimate boutique developments like this over huge new luxury projects and I would expect this factor to also prove a significant draw.” comments Jamie Davidson, Head of Flats at selling agent John D Wood & Co.

The location is perfect for those who have a family or are looking for a holiday home. A place you can call home when you are in the city, private, quiet and in the heart of the city.

Prices start at £5.75million for a two bedroom apartment.
